Perfect if you like tomatoes

-

Visitors to a nursery had the chance to taste up to 80 different varieties of tomato.

Victoriana Nursery Gardens at Challock held its annual tomato day on Saturday.

Stephen Shirley, of the familyrun business, said: “We had a few hundred people come.

“We grow 80 varieties of tomato and sell the seeds and plants.

“We had tomato tastings so people could see what they liked and then buy them to grow themselves and also had pick your own.”

The nursery also has an annual chilli weekend which is on September 27 and 28. Around 90 varieties of chilli will be on show – with tastings – and there will be craft and food stalls.
