Matt Swaf­fer was pleased to emerge un­scathed af­ter an event­ful week­end in the lat­est round of the Toyo Tires Pro­duc­tion BMW Cham­pi­onship at Brands Hatch. The New­ingreen driver fin­ished 11th and 10th in his two races but ad­mit­ted: “I was pleased with the per­for­mance but dis­ap­pointed with the re­sults. “There were a lot of in­ci­dents and pile-ups. “In the first race, three cars were in­volved just af­ter the start. One got sand­wiched between the other two, which t-boned, putting me on the grass It was an awe­some race, though and I recorded the fourth fastest lap time. “There was an­other in­ci­dent in the sec­ond race, again on the first lap. “There was con­tact between me and an­other car which al­most spun, leav­ing me way be­hind, “I saw too much of the grass and gravel for my lik­ing and was glad that I and the car got back in one piece be­cause a lot of oth­ers didn’t.”
