-

Matt Swaffer was pleased to emerge unscathed after an eventful weekend in the latest round of the Toyo Tires Production BMW Championship at Brands Hatch. The Newingreen driver finished 11th and 10th in his two races but admitted: “I was pleased with the performance but disappointed with the results. “There were a lot of incidents and pile-ups. “In the first race, three cars were involved just after the start. One got sandwiched between the other two, which t-boned, putting me on the grass It was an awesome race, though and I recorded the fourth fastest lap time. “There was another incident in the second race, again on the first lap. “There was contact between me and another car which almost spun, leaving me way behind, “I saw too much of the grass and gravel for my liking and was glad that I and the car got back in one piece because a lot of others didn’t.”
