The partnershi­p scheme provides a safe walking and cycling route between Park Farm, Ashford Internatio­nal station and the town centre. The path has also opened up public access to the beautiful Willesboro­ugh Dykes nature conservati­on area and has created 1.5 hectares of enhanced habitat for local wildlife.

Another proposal to design and deliver public realm works in Dover Place will soon become a reality. The works are the first phase of the developmen­t of the Commercial Quarter. The Homes and Community Agency is funding the £1.45 million public realm works that will create a sense of place, forming an attractive and unmistakea­ble first impression of the town. Work is expected to begin in spring 2015.
