The partnership scheme provides a safe walking and cycling route between Park Farm, Ashford International station and the town centre. The path has also opened up public access to the beautiful Willesborough Dykes nature conservation area and has created 1.5 hectares of enhanced habitat for local wildlife.
Another proposal to design and deliver public realm works in Dover Place will soon become a reality. The works are the first phase of the development of the Commercial Quarter. The Homes and Community Agency is funding the £1.45 million public realm works that will create a sense of place, forming an attractive and unmistakeable first impression of the town. Work is expected to begin in spring 2015.
