Big quiz night’s MS boost

You can help people with multiple sclerosis by booking a place at the KM Big Charity Quiz in Ashford.

The Kent Multiple Sclerosis Therapy Centre will be handing out ploughman’s meals on the night in return for a share of the charity pot.

T h i s y e a r mar k s the organisati­on’s 30th birthday as well as a move into new purpose built premises.

Fundraisin­g manager Helen Wathen said: “The new centre will provide therapies to alleviate some of the symptoms of MS such as hydrothera­py, physiother­apy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, reflexolog­y and body massage, as well as counsellin­g, acupunctur­e and other specialist clinics.”

She added: “We rely entirely on donations and fundraisin­g events to run the centre. Events such as the KM Big Quiz really help our charity not only in terms of financial support but it enables us to promote our wonderful centre to the people of Kent.”

A quiz team of up to eight costs £65 and this includes ploughman’s meal, drink on arrival, bottle of wine on the table and free entry into a draw to win a P&O ferry ticket.

One quiz goer will be picked out of the hat to take on the KM Cash Builder and try to win £500.

Sponsors include Barclays, Shepherd Neame, Specsavers, Hallett and Co and McDonald’s.
