- By Josie Hannett

A car sales executive from Ashford is celebrating after winning kmfm’s Live in Las Vegas with Britney Spears competition.

Amber Stevens, 22, and her partner Sam Newman, 26, will now fly out to watch the singer’s show at Planet Hollywood in the American city.

The couple will spend four days in the luxury Venetian Hotel in the heart of the city and as well as the concert will enjoy a $250 shopping spree at The Forum Shops at Caesars or Las Vegas Premium Outlets.

Amber herself is a singer, last year performing in front of 9,000 people at Rochester Castle as part of an event called Under Siege.

She has been a fan of Britney for as long as she can remember.

Amber said: “I’m a huge Britney fan.

“I’m a child of the 90s so I grew up with her and she’s always been a huge inspiration to me.”

She found out that she had won the competition when she was at work, which was followed by a big cheer of congratulations from colleagues at KAP in Ashford.

Amber said: “I’m one of those people who normally never wins anything so this has really blown me away.”

The couple hope to make the most of their trip to Vegas. Amber added: “We’re not going to do anything silly like get married but it would be silly not to go into at least one casino while we’re there, just to say we’ve done it.”

Amber was randomly picked from a shortlist of 10 people who entered the competition and then correctly answered a question about Britney Spears.
