New lifesaver

A presentation to celebrate the installation of a defibrillator at Ashford Hockey Club, in Ball Lane, will be held on Sunday. Money for the potentially life-saving device was raised by long-time player Harry Pickering, who died earlier this year. Further funds will be presented to South East Coast ambulance service to set up a Community First Responder. The presentation will be held at 11.30am, with a match between the Ashford Antiques and the England LX Club kicking off at noon.
