Lights cash

A welcome £1,500 has been donated to help brighten Charing this Christmas.

House builders David Wilson Homes have given £500 to the Ladies of the Lights, who fundraise all year for the Christmas Lights appeal.

Brett Aggregates Ltd have also donated £1,000.

In total, £2,800 is needed to replace the lights on the roundabout destroyed by last winter’s harsh weather. Fundraiser Anita Gudge said: “Our twinkly lights should be shining again by Friday, November 28.”
