Free parking boost for Christmas shoppers

Shoppers can enjoy free parking in all Ashford Borough Council-owned car parks in the town on the three Sundays before Christmas.

Ashford council is again making the offer to encourage as many people as possible to do their Christmas shopping locally, and support local businesses.

Free parking will be available in all the town’s council-run car parks on Sunday, December 7, 14 and 21.

Portfolio holder for transportation, highways and engineering Cllr Bernard Heyes said: “We are pleased to once again offer free parking on selected Sundays on the run up to Christmas.

“This is the busiest shopping period of the year, and we want residents to spend in and support their home town wherever possible – and for visitors to see what Ashford has to offer on the weekends as well.”
