Cycling lessons for youngsters

-

Youngsters were able to learn to cycle in free sessions over the half term.

The Ray Allen children’s centre in Stanhope and the Little Explorers childrens centre in Tenterden hosted a number of Pedal Free cycling lessons last week.

The events ran in partnership with Active Ashford and Cycle Circle to help introduce children to cycling in a fun and safe way.

Youngsters used high quality, pedal-free, balance bikes to develop balance and control at their own pace.

Children were also able to bring along their own bikes to help make the transition from stabilisers.

Lee Robinson, an early help family practitioner, said: “The event was really well attended and successful despite the weather.”
