ASHFORD & DISTRICT SUNDAY LEAGUE: TWO GOALS EACH FROM

Alfie Prior scored six goals as Ashford United Colts under-11s beat Herne Bay Harriers 13-3 in Division 1 of the East Kent Youth League. Anthony Longmore (2) and a goal each from Dylan Dawes, Tom Barton, Alfie Lewis, Jamie Betts and James Cheshmedjieu completed the tally. Alex Longmore, Aarron Salsbury and Ben King scored as United under-12s beat Margate 3-0 in Division 1. Another Alfie – Giles – scored twice as United Youth under11s won 3-2 at Herne Bay Youth. Owen Smith hit Ashford’s other goal. The team and manager Kevin Ruane, have benefited from kit sponsorship provided by Crispin Fuggle, of TW Fuggle and Sons and Martin Grist, of Remar Roofing. Four goals by Mellisa McMullen, and two more by Jodie Cain helped Ashford Angels under-13s beat Castle Colts 6-2 in the Kent Girls and Ladies’ League. Abigail Spicer was another fourgoal performer as the under-11s beat Anchorians 5-0. Charlotte Pyatt added the other with keeper Freya Burns winning the playerof-the-match-award. The under-9s lost 3-1 in their Autumn Shield Cup final against Anchorians. Maddie Baldwin hit four goals as Grasshoppers under-12 girls beat Gravesham 5-1. Katana Gould scored Grasshoppers’ other goal with a long-range finish.
