Headcorn shoot down Biddenden

Headcorn won Tenterden’s Captain’s Day Trophy, beating Biddenden by one shot.
Four other clubs – Peasmarsh, Cranbrook, Fairlight and Iden – took part at the invitation of Ray Walker.
The trophy and prizes were presented by David Summers, of sponsor James Wealth Management.
In club matches, Tenterden lost 94-49 to Staplecross in the Mermaid League on Sunday.
Mark Pope, Roy Hook and Clive Lowe were the best winning trio in an 84-49 win over Hamstreet in the same competition last week.
Hook, Margaret Knight and Vi Simkins claimed the rink honours in a 70-60 friendly win over Paddock Wood on Saturday.
Michael Hancock, Gary Owen and skip Christine Breeds won Ashford Rail’s Chairman’s Triples.
Eight triples played two games of 15 ends.
Rail won 127-56 in a five-rink mixed triples at Charing on Sunday.
Hamstreet lost 88-42 against Staplecross in another Mermaid League fixture.
Dorothy Servante skipped the only winning rink including M. Pearson and A. Laidler as Street Ladies lost 62-47 against Peasmarsh
Two rinks – skip D. Rossington, J. Warman and B. Todman (16-11) and skip R. Collick with M. Day and M. Brogan (19-14) both won by five shots as Street beat Guestling 60-59 in a tight friendly.
