Recovering in hospital

A woman who reportedly jumped off the roof of Waitrose in Ashford remains in hospital.

Police say the 21-year-old is still in hospital with extensive injuries after suffering fractured ankles and a pelvis injury when she fell 30ft from the top of the Sir Bernard Paget Avenue supermarket.

The emergency services were called to the store on Tuesday of last week to reports a young woman was on top of the building.

There is no investigation into the incident.
