Funeral flower finalist

A florist has reached the finals of The Good Funeral Awards after nominations from her customers for her beautiful tributes.

Rebecca Sharp, 40, runs the Dazzle Me Daisy Do website and has been making floral arrangements since she was 14.

Now Ms Sharp, from Tenterden, has been named as one of the top five florists selected by judges to go to the awards ceremony in Winchester on Saturday.

She said: “It was a bit of a surprise to get the phone call to say I was in the running for it. It was very emotional to be nominated from customers.

“Whatever they said must have been nice for me to have been given this chance. It’s a huge privilege, regardless of whether I win or not.

“For some people it is a bit morbid, but for me it’s a real honour to make tributes. It’s as if I’m helping make someone’s final journey really beautiful.”
