Re­mem­ber A Char­ity in your Will Week runs from Septem­ber 7 to 13 aims to show peo­ple how much dif­fer­ence a gift in your Will can make.

Di­a­betes UK is ap­peal­ing to ap­peal to take part in the week, say­ing gifts in Wills can make a huge dif­fer­ence to the lives of the mil­lions of peo­ple liv­ing with Type 1 and Type 2 di­a­betes.

They help the char­ity fund re­search, cam­paign on key is­sues, and of­fer ed­u­ca­tion and sup­port to more peo­ple who need it

There are now 3.9 mil­lion peo­ple with di­a­betes in the UK, a num­ber that is grow­ing rapidly, with 11.5 mil­lion peo­ple at in­creased risk of de­vel­op­ing Type 2 di­a­betes.

It can be a se­ri­ous, even lifethreat­en­ing con­di­tion – but the right sup­port at the right time helps peo­ple to man­age it and live a long, healthy lives.
