Drink-drive teen is banned

A teenager has been banned from diving and given a curfew after pleading guilty to drink driving.

Sian Arnold, 19, of Gravelly Field, Ashford, gave a breath test of 74 microgramm­es of alcohol in 100 millilitre­s of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgramm­es.

She appeared at Folkestone Magistrate­s’ Court on August 17 where she was banned from driving for 20 months and given her a four-month curfew to remain at home between 10pm and 7am daily.

She must also pay a £150 criminal courts charge, £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
