New prizes added to charity awards list

Deserving nominations have begun flooding in for this year’s Kent Charity Awards.

The accolades, founded by event managers Jo Hage and Sarah MacDonald from Rise Communications, honour the heroes who go the extra mile in helping others.

Seven awards include two new this year – Volunteer and Trustee of the Year.

The other five recognise charities and organisations.

The judges will select 21 finalists for the awards evening in March, where the champions will be crowned. The awards are sponsored by Diggerland, Furley Page, Kent County Council, Kent Reliance, KM Media Group, Kreston Reeves, Medway Council, MidKent College and Southeastern.

The deadline for entries is Friday, October 23.
