Despite some complaints, many of the viewers were happy with the drive-in cinema.

Katie Cole, 19, from Ashford, saw Disney’s Up on Thursday with friends.

She said: “I work in the Outlet so it’s weird to see it in a different setting, but it’s nice to do something different in Ashford.

“It’s great to have something to do for young people which is a reasonable price.

“It was completely different to going to the cinema and I felt like I was in Grease!”

Another happy movie-goer said: “Just wanted to say a big thank you to all the staff at Ashford Designer Outlet for organising a brilliant night!

“We had a great time and look forward to more events like this!”

The team behind the event are now looking ahead and hoping to organise more screenings in the future.

A spokesman for the Outlet said: “With the majority of visitors reporting a thoroughly enjoyable evening at the pop-up cinema, Ashford Designer Outlet are exploring the opportunity of running this event again, after a full review of feedback received.

“As always, the enjoyment and safety of our visitors is always our highest priority, and we will take measures to ensure the event is enjoyable for all attendees.”
