Cal­lum Fraser and Lewis Min­ter pro­gressed to Ash­ford Rail BC’s fi­nals day to be held on Sun­day as they qual­i­fied from a ju­nior com­pe­ti­tion staged by the club at the week­end.

Rail played six missed triples against River BC and lost 127-83 over­all, man­ag­ing one win­ning rink, that of Court­ney Bryant, Clive Allen and skip Dud­ley Bryant, who tri­umphed 18-17.

At Cheri­ton in the Shep­way fi­nals, Rail’s ladies won on both rinks to beat Folke­stone in the Eas­ton Cup. The two teams com­prised Janet Wil­liams, Trudy Paine, Anne Rut­land and skip Mo Hayes and Hazel Lark­ing, Mary For­tune, Jenny Farmer and skip Chris Breeds.

Ham­street played a Mer­maid League match against Pett, los­ing on all rinks to be beaten 93-51 over­all.

Ten­ter­den’s match against Brench­ley was rained off.

Against Fairlight on Fri­day, Ten­ter­den were beaten 84-59.

Ten­ter­den took four points to Fairlight’s six.
