Two more held over in­juries

Two men have been ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of as­sault af­ter a man in his 40s was found ly­ing in a road with se­ri­ous head in­juries.

Gary Lang­ham, from Folke­stone, was dis­cov­ered in Bower Road, Mer­sham, by a trac­tor driver on Sun­day, Au­gust 23, about 7am. He was taken to King’s Col­lege Hos­pi­tal, Lon­don, where he re­mains in a se­ri­ous con­di­tion.

On Mon­day, po­lice ar­rested a 21-year-old man from Ash­ford and a 22-year-old man from Maid­stone on sus­pi­cion of as­sault.

They have both been re­leased on po­lice bail un­til Oc­to­ber 16 while in­quiries con­tinue.

Shortly af­ter the in­ci­dent, po­lice launched an ap­peal for in­for­ma­tion. Days later a 21-yearold from Mer­sham was ar­rested on sus­pi­cion of caus­ing se­ri­ous in­jury by dan­ger­ous driv­ing.

He is still on po­lice bail un­til Septem­ber 23.
