Two more held over injuries

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of assault after a man in his 40s was found lying in a road with serious head injuries.

Gary Langham, from Folkestone, was discovered in Bower Road, Mersham, by a tractor driver on Sunday, August 23, about 7am. He was taken to King’s College Hospital, London, where he remains in a serious condition.

On Monday, police arrested a 21-year-old man from Ashford and a 22-year-old man from Maidstone on suspicion of assault.

They have both been released on police bail until October 16 while inquiries continue.

Shortly after the incident, police launched an appeal for informatio­n. Days later a 21-yearold from Mersham was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

He is still on police bail until September 23.
