‘LOOKING INTO RESPONSE’

Kent Fire and Rescue Service contacted Mr Breen on Monday afternoon while the clean-up operation was under way.

A spokesman told the Express: “We are looking into our response to this incident and any further information on this will be made available when completed.”

Firefighters fought the fire at the cafe using a hose reel and covering jet before using a fan to clear the smoke. No injuries were reported and the cause is not yet known.
