Festive fire safety warning

Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS) is reminding businesses across Ashford about safety at work, as many in the area will be employing seasonal staff in the run-up to Christmas. The advice is set to help new staff who may not have the same fire safety awareness as permanent workers. The messages include keeping corridors, stairs and exits clear, identifying alarm points, making sure doors are closed and ensuring everyone knows what to do if a fire alarm sounds.

KFRS is reminding businesses about fire safety as part of UK Business Safety Week, which runs throughout this week until this Sunday.
