Mak­ing the most of your lunchtime

A team of chefs has hit the road hop­ing to en­cour­age ev­ery­one to make the most of lunchtime in our busy lives.

The Liven­ing Up Lunch road­show started its na­tion-wide tour at Sains­bury’s By­brook on Thurs­day with chef Andy Dadge and as­sis­tant Clara Mayer on hand to greet shop­pers.

They were ex­hibit­ing recipes from brands such as Heinz, Walls, Lavazza cof­fee, FRijj and Kingsmill to shop­pers such as Jane and Char­lie Per­ham and Linda Spack­man.

Road­show spokesman Jono White said: “It seems as a so­ci­ety that we don’t have time for a proper lunch, that lunch has been sac­ri­ficed.
