Getting fit in the Outlet car park

Children learned cool street dance moves, sped through relay races and dashed around tag-running during a special sports day.

The Nike Sports Day was held at Ashford Designer Outlet on Saturday , the main event during a three-day children’s fitness session.

The sports brand teamed up with shopping centre owners McArthur Glen for the sessions, which started on Friday with a Flex Trial Zone where children enjoyed a range of fitness activities.

Saturday’s sports day, attended by 70 children, consisted of a series of three 20-minute classes for eight to 14-year-olds to run, street dance and have a body workout. Skills were measured and recorded and all youngsters involved were given a diploma and a goodie bag.

This Young Athletes Event was run by professional coaches to enhance fitness and create awareness of sports and well-being for budding youngsters.
