The game of the day saw a 10-goal thriller at Pitchside as title favourites Willesboro­ugh Athletic beat Stanhope & Beaver Rangers 6-4.

Luke Burdon scored five times for the Millers, while new strike partner Matt Moon – a summer arrival from Ashford Cavaliers – also netted for Willesboro­ugh.

Stanhope replied with two Dan Cornell strikes, while both Jack McKenzie and former Batchelors SSC forward Ryan Cork also netted for Brett Ades side.

League newcomers Cheriton AFC began life in the league with a 3-2 victory at Red Heathens.

Goals from Terry Easthorpe, Ryan Hall and Jaime White secured all three points for the former Hythe & Folkestone League side, while Heathens replied through AJ Wells and former Troggs striker Jaffa Akdogan.

S h e p wa y S p a r t a n s and Kennington Sunday played out a 2-2 draw at South Road as the visitors snatched a well earned point in the 88th minute courtesy of Steve Rice’s deflected effort.

Kennington took the l ead midway t hrough t he f i rst half through Mitchell Punt but Shepway hit back with second-half strikes from Laurence Slade and James Dowie.
