Police are hunting a serial flasher who is preying on young girls and women in Ashford.

They have received four separate reports of a man exposing himself in three different locations across the town in the space of a week.

Two of the incidents were reported to have happened on Monday last week, with the other two alleged to have taken place on Sunday.

Officers have linked the incidents – three of which took place at bus stops – and are appealing to the public to be vigilant.

A primary school close to where one of the incidents took place has also sent out messages to parents advising them to take extra care when travelling to and from school with their children.

The first incident took place between 4pm and 5pm on Monday, September 7 when a man indecently exposed himself to a 13-year-old girl waiting at a bus stop in Moatfield Meadow, on the Park Farm estate.

He is described as white, around 25 years old with light brown short hair, and was wearing a blue puffer-style jacket and grey jogging bottoms.

The same day, between 7pm and 7.30pm, a man wearing denim jeans and a navy blue hoody exposed himself to a woman in the play park in Mill Court, Ashford.

He is described as aged around 30 and of a slim build.

The third incident took place on Sunday when a white man, aged around 20 to 25 years old, exposed himself to a 14-year-old girl at a bus stop in Langney Drive, in the Singleton area, between 9.45am and 9.55am.

The man was clean shaven, had short dark blond hair and is of a slim build.

Later that day, between 11am and 11.15am, a man exposed himself to three girls, aged 12 and 13, at the same bus stop in Langney Drive.

He is described as white, cleanshaven, of a slim build, with short straight brown hair.

He was wearing a blue-pufferstyle bodywarmer and blue denim jeans, and made off in the

direction of Cuckoo Lane.

On each occasion the man is said to have approached the victims on foot.

The incidents are now all being investigated by the police.

Ashford’s Ch Insp Mitchell Fox said: “Taking into account the locations and the descriptions given by the victims we are linking these four offences.

“We are asking people to be more vigilant than usual and to report any suspicious behaviour, no matter how trivial it may seem at the time.”
