An interactive musical adventure for the whole family is coming to Ashford.
Tommy Foggo and his magical instrument are travelling through time and space and will be stopping in Ashford on Sunday, October 25.
The show, co-commissioned by Revelation St Mary’s, has been put together by award-winning composer and writer team, Stephen Deazley and Martin Riley, and international cellist, singer and actor, Matthew Sharp.
It follows the story of little Tommy, who was told by his mum to wait for her at the bus stop and never showed up again.
It felt to Tommy like he’d been stuck there for a zillion years – even after he’d been taken to live in the children’s home.
And then, one day, he ran away – to the seaside. He was looking for an Italian ice-cream but, instead, he found Destino, a talking cello with a mission.
Tommy and Destino recruit a gang of young helpers to travel with them on their journey through time, space and a sea of fire to find the Lost Queen of Atlantis and save her people from the giant, venomous and cold blooded Kraken of the Deep.
The show is billed as a superhero action adventure, suited for those aged nine to 90.
It is touring the UK this autumn, and received its first performance in Canterbury last month.
The performance in Ashford is part of Revelation St Mary’s Sunday afternoon series, Fireside, which offers attendees tea and cake, as well as entertainment.
It will start at 3.30pm with doors opening at the town centre venue at 3pm.
Free parking is available all day Sunday at the Edinburgh Road car park.
Tickets are £10 for adults, in advance, or £12 on the door, and £5 for under 16s.
