CORINTHIAN goal disallowed five minutes earlier, which looked a harsh decision by the officials. Ryan Palmer caught the eye with the pace he has added to the side, his speed putting him in on goal, only to shoot wide. Player-boss Danny Lye headed over the bar, following Chris Elliott’s long throw, before referee Jack Fagg waved away appeals for a penalty after Paul Booth had gone down in the box. United continued to create plenty of openings, with the Cuthbert brothers – Luke and Adam – both missing out after good build-ups, while skipper Michael Phillips failed to finish off Palmer’s neat set-up. Corinthian substitutes Michael Hagan and Oscar Housego both had chances before Axell’s last-ditch equaliser spelt huge disappointment on and off the pitch There was still time for Adam Cuthbert to put a chance wide.
