Bikes and tools snatched by raiders

Around £10,000 worth of bikes and tools were stolen from a garage during a burglary in Singleton.

Thieves made off with two valuable bikes, a drill and two disc grinders after breaking into the house in Marmion Way last Saturday between midnight and 11.30am.

A 2014/15 ‘Santa Cruz Nomad C’ bike and a specialised ‘Camber Evo UK Edition’ cycle – one of only 20 ever made – were taken from the garage.

Police are investigating the burglary and have released images of the property in a bid to return them with their owner.

Officers also issued crime reduction advice, including recommending residents lock up large machinery when not in use, record details of property, take photos of valuables, security mark property and register valuables on the National Property Database.
