Top Manchester band plays free church gig
Young people are invited to a free music gig in Ashford to see Manchester band, Twelve24.
The concert has been organised by Paul Martin, who runs Furnace, a biannual event in the town for youths.
Normally tickets to see the band are £10 but Mr Martin has managed to secure funds so that the price of entry has been covered and teenagers can access the event for free.
The youth worker said: “We wanted to host a big thing in Ashford, so we went for a band that is connecting well with the youth scene in Manchester.
“Twelve24 have this diverse approach to contemporary music.
“Be it feel-good pop, euphoric dance, or technical rap, it’s going to be great to see them live.”
The show will be held at Ashford Baptist Church, opposite AMF Bowl, in Station Road on Saturday, March 5.
Doors open at 6.30pm. Drinks, snacks and merchandise will be on sale.
