Marking 400 years since Bard’s death
This year is the 400th anniversary of William Shakespeare’s death and there are numerous events being staged across the county.
Shakespeare, England’s bestknown playwright died on April 23 in 1616 in Stratfordupon-Avon, which was also his birthplace. Between 1589 and 1613, he wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few other verses.
