Marking 400 years since Bard’s death

This year is the 400th anniversar­y of William Shakespear­e’s death and there are numerous events being staged across the county.

Shakespear­e, England’s bestknown playwright died on April 23 in 1616 in Stratfordu­pon-Avon, which was also his birthplace. Between 1589 and 1613, he wrote 38 plays, 154 sonnets, two long narrative poems, and a few other verses.
