Dancing with joy at Bollywood fundraiser

-

A Bollywood fundraiser netted more than £600 for a new cub and scout group.

Authentic dancing, food and music helped raise the cash for the 1st Repton Scout Group that was formed in November 2015.

The Indian evening was held at Repton Manor Primary School on Ashford’s Repton Park estate last Friday and guests enjoyed various activities, including a huge raffle.

The group, based at Repton Park, will use the money to buy sports equipment, arts and crafts and camping gear.

Nicole Maben-Hume, assistant Beaver leader, said: “It was our first fundraiser and it was a great success.

“We had some great support from a host of companies who helped organise the event and donate to the raffle, so a huge thanks to everyone.”
