Street pastors’ lolly lorryful

Hundreds of lollipops were among the gifts given out by street pastors to sozzled revellers in Ashford last year.

The pastors revealed they had cleared 637 bottles and 110 glasses from the streets of the town centre to prevent them being used as weapons. They helped 306 people, gave out 229 bottles of water, 32 foil blankets, 127 pairs of flip flops, and four hair bands.
