Ash­ford 2nds fell into the bot­tom three of Kent Divi­sion 1 fol­low­ing their 3-2 de­feat at Black­heath & Old Elthami­ans on Satur­day.

It leaves them three points be­hind Mar­den Rus­sets who visit Ball Lane this week­end.

The club’s first team re­turn to Kent/Sus­sex Re­gional 1 ac­tion on Satur­day with a trip to Maid­stone.

Last week­end’s home game against Mar­den Rus­sets was called off due to the op­po­si­tion pulling out of the league.

Ash­ford 3rds were 5-3 win­ners at home to Black­heath 3rds in Kent 2.

Tom Good­win scored the opener be­fore Black­heath lev­elled.

A de­flected ef­fort put them in front be­fore first team player Ro­nan Tag­gart con­verted a penalty cor­ner to make it 2-2 at half-time.

Black­heath re­gained the lead with a back post fin­ish be­fore Matt Carter cel­e­brated his birth­day with Ash­ford’s third.

Matt Clifford swept home the fourth be­fore Tag­gart hit the fifth and his se­cond, with a skil­ful fin­ish.

The 4ths lost 5-1 at Open Premier A lead­ers Deal.

Cru­saders were 2-1 win­ners at home to Black­heath 5ths in Open Divi­sion 2.

The 6ths went down 5-0 at New Bec­ce­hamian in Divi­sion 4.

Ash­ford ladies’ 1sts were also with­out a game, while the 2nds and 3rds were both beaten in Kent 1. The 2nds lost 2-0 at Black­heath, while the 3rds went down 6-1 at home to Brom­ley & Beck­en­ham.
