KENT VILLAGE LEAGUE: BARNES TON SETS UP WIN
Matt Barnes hit an unbeaten 123 as Wye won by 28 runs at Meopham in Division 2. Barnes and Jack Kelham (58 not out) shared an unbroken third-wicket stand as Wye totalled 234-2, then restricted the home side to 206-9. Kazi Mohammad Munir Kaiser top scored with 35 not out as Challock (118-7) won by three wickets at home to Woodchurch (117, Mark Paine 44 not out) Smarden (154) went down by 86 runs at home to Selling (240). In Division 1, Steve Wellard hit 54 as Egerton (228-5) lost at home to Street End (231-4) by six wickets. Tevis Knight Snr and Max Ramsden took three wickets each as Stone-in Oxney (160-9, Scott Freeman 43) beat Littlebourne (134) by 26 runs. Great Chart (147-5) lost by 10 wickets against Elham Valley (148-0). Paul Rodway hit 49 as Aldington (211-6) won by four wickets at Stowting 210-6 (Stephen Jackson 45 not out) in Division 3. Brookland (113) lost by seven wickets at home to Frindsbury, while Pluckley (147) went down by 79 runs at Holcombe & Blue Bell Hill (226-5). In Division 4, Syed Muazam Ali hit 41 and Rob Johnson 39 as Kingsnorth (190-7) beat Borden (139-9) by 51 runs. Roger Clay took 5-45 as Bilsington dismissed Bobbing Court & Lower Halstow for 54 to win by 98 runs in Division 5. Paul Webb top scored with 58 in the Ashford villagers total of 152. Ivan Baker hit 86 as Great Chart 2nds (168-2) won by eight wickets at home to Boughton under Blean (164-9, Sam Quigley 4-26). In Division 5, James Iles hit 45 as Kennington (137-8) lost by six wickets at Woodcoombe (140-4).
