Burglars strike eight times

People in Ashford are being warned to keep their properties safe amid fears that jewellery burglars are targeting the town.

It follows a spate of EIGHT burglaries in just four days.

Police hunting the culprits – who seem to specialise in looking for valuable jewellery – believe at least five of the breakins are linked.

The burgled homes are spread across the town but the majority were reported in Kennington.

And, with warmer weather on the way, residents are being urged to ensure they keep windows and doors locked.
