Teens learn safer biking

-

Youngsters had a taste of motorcycling at Ashford’s Sk8side Youth Centre in a bid to encourage them to think about motorbike safety. More than 40 11-19year-olds attended an open day staged by Motov8, which provides free off-road riding for young people, on June 4.

Those who took part in quizzes and competitions were rewarded with a free barbecue, with prizes including a helmet and motorbike jacket.

Further courses are on Thursdays, 6pm-8pm, at the centre in the Stour Centre car park and is free for 11-19-year-olds. After six sessions, teenagers qualify for a free day of motorbiking.
