Garden party brings community together

Residents of Aylesbury Road in Kennington celebrated the Queen’s 90th birthday with a street party on Sunday.

Aude Ayeni, one of the organisers, said: “It was a fantastic afternoon with a barbecue, cake competition and activities for the children. It was a great event where residents were able to meet their neighbours.

“The kids had a fab time and enjoyed a traffic free road.

“There was a great community spirit.”
