Doggy fun at country fair

Flyball – a hurdling relay race for dogs – will be one of the highlights of this year’s Godmersham Country Fair.

The fun event, on Saturday, runs from noon to 4pm and will feature falconry, forestry skills and rural crafts such as wood-turning plus knitting and spinning by Boughton Alpaca.

A tea-cup ride, bouncy castle, train rides and magician, plus BBQ, beer tent, strawberry teas and ice creams will be on offer.

Entrance is £2 per adult, accompanied children free.

Godmersham Park (CT4 7DT) is off the A28, between Ashford and Canterbury.
