Championing carers’ hard work
Carers in the community were invited to a tea party at Sainsbury’s Bybrook store as a way of saying thank you for their amazing work.
The group got together at the Simone Weil Avenue supermarket, on Tuesday of last week and included people from Parkinson’s, Find a Voice, Pilgrims Hospice and private families.
Sue Oliver, Sainsbury’s community champion, said: “We do it every year during Carers Week and it’s just a little way of saying thank you to the carers for the amazing work they do.
“It was really nice to get together. Some of the staff had made cakes and they went down really well with everyone.”
