Bring a picnic for evening of jazz

Godinton House is hosting an evening of jazz next week in aid of Pilgrims Hospices.

The walled garden of the historic mansion in Godinton Lane, Ashford is the venue for next Wednesday’a perfromance by The Culrose Five.

Those attending are invited to bring a picnic and while the evening away in the company of friends and family.

The Culrose Five will be on performing from 7pm, but you will the audience is welcome to come an hour before to explore Godinton’s special garden and make yourself comfortable with your hampers, chairs and blankets.

Steve Palmer, a member of the Hospices’ Ashford volunteer fundraising group which helps out on the night, said: “There is always a party atmosphere at the jazz evening.

“I can’t think of a better way to raise funds for Pilgrims Hospices than good food and great music at an ideal summer event. “We also have some wonderful prizes for our raffle.” Tickets cost £12 from Godinton House by calling 01233 643854.
