Youngsters on the run in special birthday tribute

The Race for Life school event at Bethersden Primary saw youngsters dress in patriotic red, white and blue in honour of the Queen’s 90th birthday.
All children from the 125-pupil school took part in the challenge, with some managing 20 laps.
As a reward for their efforts they enjoyed a picnic, to which parents were invited, last Friday and they tucked into sandwiches and cakes.
It’s the third year that the School Road primary has hosted its own Race for Life and organisers are still totting up the total raised but are hoping it will match the £500 that was collected last year.
