Down and Chapman triumph

Club captain Barbara Down and Janet Chapman captured Littlestone Warren GC’s Ovenden Pairs Trophy.

They won on countback with a total of 34 points in blustery conditions on Sunday.

The Greensomes format provided a closely fought contest, with 18 ladies taking part.

Second were Alison Baker and Linda Coleman (34 points), while Carol Royle and Gill Nunn were third with 33 points.

Nunn and Gill Wyatt won the nearest the pin prizes.
