Party time for mar­ket’s an­niver­sary

Ash­ford Farm­ers’ Mar­ket marks its sec­ond an­niver­sary this week­end.

A cel­e­bra­tory mar­ket will be held on Sun­day from 10am to 2pm on t h e L o we r High Street, fea­tur­ing ev­ery­thing from home­made de­lights by reg­u­lar traders to mu­sic and en­ter­tain­ment from lo­cal artists.

A host of new guest traders will be join­ing the reg­u­lars, adding to the range of sweet and savoury treats.

Vis­i­tors can pick up cider from Gib­bet Oak Cider, a sweet treat from Dee­l­i­cious Cakes and some in­ter­na­tional de­lights from The French Del­i­catessen.

Ri­toweg Farm and Stour Val­ley Game who spe­cialise in ex­otic meats, as well as Rom­ney Marsh Brewery who will be sell­ing their lo­cally brewed ale and beers at a pop-up bar.

There will also be free sam­ples of Mead for vis­i­tors to try at the Loveash­ford stall t o cel­e­brate t he mar­ket’s sec­ond an­niver­sary.

A se­lec­tion of street food will be on of­fer to tempt vis­i­tors.

Park Mall’s new tea­room, The Lit­tle Teapot, which opens for busi­ness on July 11 will also be at t h e mar­ket , of­fer­ing up a se­lec­tion of home­made cakes and cook­ies for vis­i­tors to sam­ple ahead of their open­ing.
