Su­per­heroes unite for fundraiser

Four-legged su­per­heroes and their own­ers are in­vited to take part in a fundrais­ing walk in aid of Ash­ford Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The Dogs Unite event is be­ing held for the sec­ond year run­ning at God­mer­sham Park, off the A28 near Bilt­ing, on Sun­day, July 17.

Dogs and own­ers are urged to wear su­per­hero out­fits. Par­tic­i­pa­tion is free but en­trants are asked to try and raise at least £35 in spon­sor­ship – enough to sup­port a guide dogs part­ner­ship for a week.

The event will in­volve a walk around God­mer­sham Park, with spe­cial ac­cess to the man­sion and grounds.

Those not in­ter­ested in rais­ing spon­sor­ship can reg­is­ter on the day, with a rec­om­mended do­na­tion of £25.

Sign-in is from 10am at the venue’s As­so­ci­a­tion of Bri­tish Dis­pens­ing Op­ti­cians Col­lege, with the walk over ei­ther a twom­ile or four-mile route start­ing at 11am.

Tea and cakes will be avail­able af­ter­wards.
