Fruits of their labour: Ho­tel hosts cider fest

Cider lovers can en­joy draught craft ciders from Eng­land, Wales, Scot­land and North­ern Ire­land dur­ing an Ash­ford pub’s 17-day fes­ti­val.

The fes­ti­val will take place at The County Ho­tel in the lower High Street from Fri­day, July 8 un­til Sun­day, July 24 in­clu­sive.

The pub will serve 20 ciders in­clud­ing some not pre­vi­ously avail­able in the pub and others pro­duced ex­clu­sively for the fes­ti­val. They will be avail­able at £3.09 a pint.

The fes­ti­val will fea­ture ap­ple, pear and fruit ciders as well as award-win­ning ciders, a cider made with sloe berries, a cider ma­tured in oak vats, a cider flavoured with mango and an­other with dam­son as well as straw­berry, rasp­berry and black­cur­rant cider.

Pub man­ager Si­mon Pitcher said: “The County will be of­fer­ing a su­perb se­lec­tion of ciders dur­ing the 17-day fes­ti­val. We are con­fi­dent that they will ap­peal to cider lovers and those en­joy­ing cider for the first time.”

Cus­tomers can en­joy three onethird pints of ciders for the price of a pint.

Tast­ing notes on all of the ciders will be avail­able in the pub.
