Fruits of their labour: Hotel hosts cider fest
Cider lovers can enjoy draught craft ciders from England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland during an Ashford pub’s 17-day festival.
The festival will take place at The County Hotel in the lower High Street from Friday, July 8 until Sunday, July 24 inclusive.
The pub will serve 20 ciders including some not previously available in the pub and others produced exclusively for the festival. They will be available at £3.09 a pint.
The festival will feature apple, pear and fruit ciders as well as award-winning ciders, a cider made with sloe berries, a cider matured in oak vats, a cider flavoured with mango and another with damson as well as strawberry, raspberry and blackcurrant cider.
Pub manager Simon Pitcher said: “The County will be offering a superb selection of ciders during the 17-day festival. We are confident that they will appeal to cider lovers and those enjoying cider for the first time.”
Customers can enjoy three onethird pints of ciders for the price of a pint.
Tasting notes on all of the ciders will be available in the pub.
