Build your butterfly brainpower
Kent Wildlife Trust is holding a free course on butterfly identification, on Saturday from 1pm to 5pm in Shadoxhurst.
The event, part of the Ashford Meadows Project, has been funded by Biffa Award, a fund that aims to build communities through awarding grants to projects across the UK, as part of the Landfill Communities Fund.
The course will i nvolve both an indoor session and a visit to surrounding farmland and woodlands.
Kent Wildlife Trust is also leading a free guided walk through some of Shadoxhurst’s finest meadows on the same day from 6pm to 7.30pm, as part of National Meadows Day.
The event is also funded by Biffa Award. The Trust’s Camilla Blackburn, said: “This evening walk will take in several of the sites involved in the project and should provide an amazing wildlife spectacle.”
