- By Molly Mileham-Chappell

Family and friends of children atAldington Primary School enjoyed the annual summer fete in the sunshine last Sunday.

The space-themed event was held at the school on Roman Road where members of the community could take part in games and activities including train rides, beat the goalie and tombolas.

Marli the Magician also joined in the fun and there were also space laboratory experiments to try. Visitors were able to enjoy the barbecue and bar provided in the sunshine as well. Julia Everson, co-chair of Aldington School’s PTFA said: “The event was very well attended by parents and members of the local community. “A final profit has not yet been calculated but we do know that we have done rather well.” She added: “The PTFA would like to send a huge thank you to parents, staff, governors, chil children, local businesses and the local community for all of the support and goodwill they have shown.” Money raised from the event will be used to fund school extras for the chil children such as an Astro Turf area.
