Match gets moved again

-

Illegal night fishing by non-members forced Ashford Angling Society to move their latest match away from Singleton Lake for the second time in a month. The switch to the top lake at Surrenden produced good weights of silvers, with roach to 1lb and Ide featuring well. Richard Payne won with 100 fish, weighing 24lb 8oz, falling to meat, ahead of runner-up Bill Short (22lb 8oz taken on hemp and tares), with Mark Valler third (18lb 8oz), again using meat. The next match takes place on Sunday, July 10 at Nicholls Pit in Hythe.
