Kestrel clinch medal haul

Kestrel gymnasts won 13 medals and eight rosettes at the Kent Floor and Vault Championsh­ips. The Tenterden-based club had more than 30 youngsters taking part and head coach Gary Crawford was full praise and proud of all their efforts. Imogen Barber, Nathan Kemp, Oscar Howitt-Riley, Nico Kent and William Gayson won golds, with Emily Burns, Pearl Durrand, Luca King, Noah Smout and Benjamin Rooke claiming silvers. Summer Greenwood, Honey-Safia Mead and Lia Crawford all clinched bronze medals. Rosettes were won by Harmony Carroi and Sienna Kemp, who both finished fourth, fifth-placed Isabella Ficetola, Kitty Cotterell, and Sophie Paxton, with three more youngsters, Brooke Maguire, Millie Wood and Molly Parsons who were sixth. The club are looking for bigger premises allowing them to train seven days a week.
