Gymnastics
Kestrel gymnasts won 13 medals and eight rosettes at the Kent Floor and Vault Championships. The Tenterden-based club had more than 30 youngsters taking part and head coach Gary Crawford was full praise and proud of all their efforts. Imogen Barber, Nathan Kemp, Oscar Howitt-Riley, Nico Kent and William Gayson won golds, with Emily Burns, Pearl Durrand, Luca King, Noah Smout and Benjamin Rooke claiming silvers. Summer Greenwood, Honey-Safia Mead and Lia Crawford all clinched bronze medals. Rosettes were won by Harmony Carroi and Sienna Kemp, who both finished fourth, fifth-placed Isabella Ficetola, Kitty Cotterell, and Sophie Paxton, with three more youngsters, Brooke Maguire, Millie Wood and Molly Parsons who were sixth. The club are looking for bigger premises allowing them to train seven days a week. Gary Crawford said: “We have a talented group of gymnasts that need more hours to train but we are unable to do this currently. “If anyone is willing to help us, please get in touch.” Contact kestrelgymnastics2009@ gmail.com
