At the double: Play time in the gardens
Godinton House is hosting two outdoor theatre performances this month.
The Pantaloons are bringing Gulliver’s Travels to the Godinton Lane, Ashford, venue on Saturday, July 16 and The Rude Mechanical Theatre Company will be performing their comedy MacByrd on Friday, July 29.
Both plays will be staged within the gardens of Godinton.
People are invited to come along with friends and family and soak up the outdoor ambience of the walled garden. Bring your own picnic, rug and chairs.
Gulliver’s Travels starts at 6.30pm, with picnics from 5.30pm. Tickets are £15 for adults and £ 5 f or a child. Macbyrd starts at 7.30pm, with picnics from 6.30pm. Tickets are £15 for adults and £8 for a child.
Godinton’s gardens are open every day from 1pm. The house is open to the public on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with the first house tour at 1.30pm. Admission to the garden is £5 adults and £9 for the house and garden, children under 16 free.
